THIRLMERE appear to be in a one-horse race for Group Six supremacy after Sunday's 46-18 roasting of Picton.
The Roosters led 18-6 at half-time and were never headed, with Jason Sampson, Peter Jensen, Troy Wozniak, Jayden Merchant and new recruit Leo Dynevor all playing dominant roles. The competition has six clubs and none look like getting close to the Roosters."Thirlmere continue to trample teams and it may look like a foregone conclusion that they remain undefeated and win the title," Group Six secretary John Dayball said."The build-up of teams this year may not be enough to match the high quality players that Thirlmere have signed. Picton tried but failed and they've now only got one win from three starts."Narellan downed Camden 34-20, while Moss Vale and Oakdale finished locked at 22-22.Selectors have named a 17-man Group Six representative team to play Group 11 at Orange on Saturday.Noel Wood is coach, while Camden's Chris Corby is 18th man.Group Six team:Josh Tailby, Matt MacCauley, Justin Miller, Jason Sampson, Rob Chauvet, Shane Martin, Adam Rae, Jayden Merchant, Matt Brinkworth, Jon Cresswell, David Lowe, Peter Jensen, Nathan Sutton (c). Res: John Rae, Daniel Bacon, Matt Carlyon, Luke Barron.
