Horses and wine, a fantastic experience!
I really enjoyed my trail ride. The scenery was lovely. Dryridge Estate put on a fabulous cheese platter with a bottle of wine before arranging wine tasting. The hostess from Dryridge Estate was so welcoming and friendly without any pressure to make a purchase even though we were willing. My only regret is because of the wine tasting the ride isn't long enough as there simply isn't enough time. Depending on the ability of the riders in the group there is an optional opportunity to trot/canter and the leader who was also very friendly tries to cater for all levels of experience. I went alone as it was a birthday gift but the riders I was with were chatty and friendly and we all had a great time. I would go again for sure.
My Sister and I had such a fun day. Our guide was so helpful with giving us tips on how to ride comfortably and to be able to relax and have fun. The experience all round exceeded all expectations. I have already recommended this Experience to my friends and family and will hopefully find myself back again soon.
We had so much fun! The countryside was amazing, the horses were beautiful, and our guide Trent was fantastic. I could not give enough praise for this experience. Would love to do it again!
It was the best day - perfect setting and the staff were brilliant and accomodating and so skilled and taught us alot! cant wait to do it again :) p.s the wine was delish
Glennys and I had not been on a horse for ten years or more and were given this ticket for a present by the kids, Well Well what a day,, What a ride, what scenery,, good wine good food, friendly people good staff, Wuiet horses all in one package,, The bush POETRY topped it off as one was able to recite to country people that appreciated my humour (not everyone does,,) Thanks for a day to remember,, our butts were not as sore as we thought they may have been next day,, we would do it again,,, Cheers,, R & G
Although we got lost on our way in, we had the BEST experience with Eureka! Friendly staff, fabulous location and amazing ride! Took my partner for his first time riding. We got to trot several times which made his experience loads of fun! Saw a calf being born, a snake and our guide was wonderful! Had good horses at a nice clean location with amazing views. Would definitely go again!:)
Great views, nice winery and reasonable ride
For the leisure rider it's a lovely day out and the scenery is beautiful. Staff are very friendly, the horses are ok but not for the adventurous riders as they ride nose to tail. I called before hand and advised them my husband has ridden before and did not like riding nose to tail the entire way. I was told they stay away from typical trail rides and get the opportunity to canter (but not gallop) but when they offered him to canter on the day he was not impressed with the horse as it was not best behaved so he declined. The winery and cheese platter were nice, however I was with my baby and a friend and was told we could drive and meet the riders at the other in for lunch and that we could order other things including childrens meals. When we arrived we were tod they occasionally do hot sandwiches but not today! Had I known we could have gone elsewhere. In the end it is a beautiful area and leisure riders would enjoy the ride and wine tastings etc. The communication beween winery and supplier needs improvement.
Great experience, loved the horse riding, quiet horses and great guides
I had never been to the Megalong Valley before and I look forwrd to going there again. The drive down Megalong Road was beautiful and when we arrived at the Homestead staff were friendly, even though we arrive half an hour late. The horse ride itself was really nice and the people at the winery were also very friendly. We were able to drive back to the winery to pick up the rest of our bottle once our ride was over. The whole experience was fun and romantic. I would recommend it to my friends.
